Bio
Finssocal is woodprinter, writer, translator and furniture maker with expertise in some printmaking techniques (including monoprint and drypoint), as well as drawing and sculpture in wood. He worked for few years as translator for the World Digital Library (WDL) project of the Library of Congress/UNESCO in Washington DC. Also, he was one of the ten finalists of the Latin American Young Literature Award of the Alliance Française de São Paulo-Brazil/2008 and has had short stories published in Cult Magazine (Brazil) and Agália (Spain). He was born to Spanish immigrant parents in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. After, spending his early years in Brazil, he lived in Spain for while, and moved to the United States to study a PhD in Latin American History at the University of Maryland. Currently, he is working with production protocols for furniture and his own design that evokes simple sophistication and casual elegance.
He had exhibited his prints in Brazil, Spain, Italy, Mexico and U.S.A
